Hand Painted Neckties

Last year for my birthday I was given 1000 neckties for my birthday.  when I was in collage I decide I never wanted to were a neckties because it was a symbol of the man and becoming part of the establishment so it was kind of ironic that I now had 1000 neckties. so of corse I had to paint them turning them into each one of a kind works of art.

The Beginning of Allen Vandever Painted Jackets

In 2010 Chicago artist Allen Vandever had his first showing at art Basel Miami. He left all of his dry cleaning on his kitchen table at his home in Chicago. So he went to a thrift store and purchased two jackets when he got back to his hotel room he realized they looked pretty worn when he was in a better light and realized that he couldn't wear them to the events he had to attend. so he got out his box of paint pens and made them into art. That night he sold the jacket right of his back to a art collecter and he riled that he was on to something.
